About us
A small, hands-on crew that's been making films around Ogden since 2010. Meet the full team →
New Ogden Cinema started as a loose network of local filmmakers meeting up to make short films and support each other's work. Over time, especially after the pandemic, that grew into a working production house — the same crew now shoots narrative film, youth sports, and job sites, but the "figure it out together" spirit hasn't changed.
We're still Ogden-based, still hands-on, and still run by the same people who started it.
Ryan McDonald
Ogden native with a film degree from the University of Central Florida. Writer-director of "Left for Dead" and "Married and Loving It!," and founder of Ogden's Big Lebowski Fest at Peery's Egyptian Theater.

New Ogden Cinema is an independent film production company based in Ogden, Utah, working across the Wasatch Front and beyond. As indie filmmakers in Utah, we've written, shot, and edited award-winning short films and feature films — including Left for Dead, a post-apocalyptic thriller shot on location across Utah, and Married and Loving It, a micro-budget feature that played 70+ film festivals and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
